In addition to the pharmacy program, the Phoenix Pharmacist School is also looking to work with other schools in the area to help improve the education of new graduates, which is critical for a pharmacy job market that is expected to be one of the most competitive in the country.
“As we continue to grow our pharmacy programs and continue to expand the number of students who can access our internship programs, we are working to build our network of resources to assist these students,” Sussmans said.
“Additionally, we will continue to work closely with our community partners, such as community colleges and universities to create opportunities to work together on these programs.”
The Phoenix Academy of Pharmacists, a national network of more than 200 schools, recently launched a partnership with the College of Nursing to provide students with the tools they need to enter the industry.
The College of Nurses and the Phoenix Academy will help develop an “accessible learning experience,” which will be taught through a partnership of the two schools.
“This is the next step for us as we continue on our path to be an equal opportunity employer for all our students, and we are committed to making this opportunity a reality,” said the College’s Dean of Education, Joanne S. Miller.
