“The college Republicans are saying to us, ‘You know what, we want you to be able to have a free speech right to speak about what you want to talk about.
We’re not going to stop you from being able to speak,'” he said.
“We’re not trying to shut down speech.”
“I’m saying that if you want your college to be the place where you want people to have an opportunity to be politically engaged, if you’re not a Republican, if there’s a way to have people speak freely, that’s okay with us.
But if you don’t want people speaking freely, and if you can’t make that happen, we don’t have to do it.”
